Wireless (low cost) L/V Monitor
Whether monitoring L/V forces for lubricator control feedback or for site statistics, this low cost L/V module does the job. This module is a self contained strain gage based lateral and vertical measurement system that requires almost no supporting infrastructure. The power is handled by internal battery packs that last up to 3 years without replacement. Communication is via a wireless RF connection to a wayside (pole mounted) reader, a moving platform (high rail vehicle) based interrogator, and/or a hand held reader which then create a GPRS (GSM data) link to the database for storage, decision management, and information viewing.
The wireless L/V module can be used as a low rail feedback loop for controlling Kelsan Friction Management wayside devices as well as for stand-alone L/V statistical purposes.
